PREMIER LEAGUE RULES

Premier League matches must be played on astroturf, as the WP Top Schools Tournament takes place on astroturf.

The 2024 Premier League will be divided into 2 Pools.
All teams in each pool will play each other once. -
The top 3 teams in each pool will progress to the 3rd Term Top League to qualify for WP Top Schools.

The remaining schools in each pool will play each other to determine final log position for 2024.

The top three teams at the end of the season will participate in the WP Top Schools Tournaments.

4th placed teams will need to participate in a North v South Play-Off match to qualify for WP Top Schools.
(Girls – 30 August 2024 & Boys – 6 September 2024). -
Scores must be submitted by both teams on the Google Form no later than Sunday, 12pm after the fixture has been played. This is to try keep an accurate log.

First half fixtures must be completed by Friday, 17 June 2024. This is to ensure a final log to determine 3rd Term Fixtures.

Term 3 Fixtures cannot be played past 15 August 2024. Final results must be submitted by 8am on 19 August 2024. Any results not submitted by then will be forfeit.

Should any school not co-operate with their opponent in finding a suitable time to play, then that team will forfeit the points for that game.

Points will be awarded as follows:
4 for a win, 2 for a scoring draw, 1 for a nil-nil draw and 0 for a loss. -
Teams are ranked on the log by total points, then goal difference, then goals scored, then by total bonus points, then finally by head-to-head result.
